Received my Scott Trench back from the tailor’s today (excuse the casual Saturday outfit ?)!
I had the arms shortened (the seamstress also repositioned the cuff loops) and had the hem taken up by a few inches- I’m 5’2″ and the alterations have made all the difference.
UK weather is expected to be warm next week so this will stay in my wardrobe until the temperature drops ?
I took size 4/32 and can still wear with a jumper underneath.Sezane,0,$305,5’1-5’2 5’1-5’2,Coats/Jackets,French Brands,Size 0,Trench All Reviews,Sezane
I’m a UK6-8 and got the 36 - true to size for me with room for thicker jumpers. I could have sized down but I have long arms so decided not to. It’s structured and heavier (the right amount) than the usual trench coat, amazing quality.Sezane,4,$305,5'5-5'6 5'5-5'6,Coats/Jackets,French Brands,Size 4,Trench All Reviews,Sezane
I got US 8/40. I was worried it was a bit big, but it fits a blazer or chunky sweater under perfectly. I love it.ALLY Shoes,8,$325,5'5-5'6 5'5-5'6,Emerging Designers,Pumps,Shoes,Size 8 All Reviews,Ally,Shoes
I decided to pop into the NYC Sezane store for the first time and I'm so glad I did! Despite the crazy heat of the summer, I saw this trench and I was really impressed by the quality. I've been on the lookout for a solid trench for a long time but every coat I've seen is either insanely expensive ($500+) for good quality or the fabric feels cheap and thin. This coat just felt like a really great deal - good, thick fabric, really stylish, and versatile, all for $300. I tried on the size 4 which fit me perfectly but I was a little nervous about a coat fitting perfectly when I'm wearing a flimsy tank top. I decided to size up to account for sweaters and layering once the weather actually turns. I initially was leaning towards getting the trench in the camel but then I saw the navy and I just felt that the navy was going to be a lot more user-friendly for me than camel. So happy with my purchase! Updated to include some recent pics now that the weather in NYC has turned. Still loving this coat. It's truly perfect for fall. I still can't believe I got such a great coat for such a decent price!ALLY Shoes,8,$325,5'5-5'6 5'5-5'6,Emerging Designers,Pumps,Shoes,Size 8 All Reviews,Ally,Shoes
I am 5’6 128lbs and I ordered a 36! It is a bit roomy but I quite like how it fits. Depending on your dimensions I think it comes down to preference- if you want it more fitted or less. I find the belt allows for shape if thats what im looking for, but I tended to wear it open. Lovely coat though, I would definitely recommend.Sezane,4,$305,5'5-5'6 5'5-5'6,Coats/Jackets,French Brands,Size 4,Trench All Reviews,Coat,Jackets,Sezane
I am 5’8, 140lbs, 36-30-38. It has a nice weight to it and the camel colour is really nice in real life. I'm not sure about sizing and am considering sizing up. Note, in the second photo below, I am wearing a corduroy blazer underneath it and it remains quite comfortable.Sezane,10,$305,5'7-5'8 5'7-5'8,Coats/Jackets,French Brands,Size 10,Trench All Reviews,Coat,Jackets,Sezane
I got a size US4 (EU 36). I typically wear a size 4, sometimes size 2. Since I live in a hot climate, I didn't feel the need to size up to fit bulky sweaters, and I think this is a good fit. There's a little extra room, but probably not enough for a thick sweater. There's just the two pockets on the side (no inner pocket). It is a nice weight and tidy construction. I think I'm going to keep the coat. The only two that I liked that were somewhat reasonable in price were Sezane and JCrew, and the JCrew one is just as expensive.Sezane,4,$305,5'5-5'6 5'5-5'6,Coats/Jackets,French Brands,Size 4,Trench All Reviews,Coat,Jackets,Sezane
