Saw these shorts at the store and immediately had to try them on! Love it. I usually wear between size 4-6 in bottoms and Sezane can sometimes run big (sometimes run small too :/ which makes shopping from them difficult) so I tried a 4 and it was perfect. I love that you can wear it as a casual weekend short but I would definitely dress this up with a fancier top and heels for a more dressy night out. 5'5'' W30-31 US size 8-10 These are the best shorts: super flattering and not restricting up top at all. I think I am between size 8 and 10 for this item though (I opted for the larger size) so the waist is a tad loose. The rolling cuffs at the bottom of the shorts can cause chafing between the thighs and become uncomfortable after long walks. They also don't quite stay flat after washing and need to be constantly pressed down to maintain the original shape. Overall I am happy with these shorts. Hope that is helpful! As a newly obsessed owner of the Rome shorts in denim, I just came here to throw some notes out about the fit. I am 5'6" and about 155lbs. I carry most of my weight in the hip/bum/thigh region so pants are always a pain for me to get especially since (proportion wise) I feel like I have a smaller waist. I knew it would not have the belled out shape like the model and was hoping for a comfortable high waist short that didn't squish my thigh but also didn't expose my bum. I'm used to shorts and skirts ridding up a bit more... Success! Depending on material I typically buy my shorts/ pants in a medium, US size 6, 28 or 29. I purchased my Rome shorts in FR 38 (on the chart says same as US 6). I feel like it is an amazingly flattering fit, all bits are covered, nothing uncomfy... if I wanted more of the space around the thighs (like in the listing) and sized up I'm afraid that I'd have too much fabric around the waist.
