CHENILLE KNIT CROPPED CARDIGAN

Purchased on April 2022; reviewed on February 2023.

TLDR: Sandro is a classic favorite of mine. Not everything is to my taste (e.g. oversized sweater with a deep V that says Sandro - huh?) but I always find nuggets that I will wear over and over again. The background to this purchase is that I was finally going back to a corporate job after a close to 5 year break. I was asked to come in for an in-person interview and I literally had nothing to wear. I had no clue how conservative the office was and wanted a simple jacket that looked professional but I could also wear to death. This one fit the bill

 

FIT: The perfect fit! While it's described as a "cropped cardigan", it doesn't feel cropped nor like a cardigan. The fabric is fairly thick and the jacket holds its shape quite well. I got the Size 2 which is meaningless to most women - if it helps, my bust is around 37" and this jacket is plenty roomy. If I button all the buttons, it does have a more fitted vibe but I never wear it in this way. The sleeves are the perfect length too.

 

QUALITY: Great quality. The fabric is thick, with an almost terry-like feel. I've reached for this cardigan many times over the last few months in my always-freezing office. It's held up extremely well and I see no signs of wear and tear. For the price I paid and the frequency with which I wear it, the price is certainly worthwhile.

 

STYLE: It was exactly what I needed - a classic black jacket / cardigan that can be re-purposed anywhere and everywhere. I could easily wear this on a weekend or a date night but it's such a great "office jacket" that it has a permanent perch on the hanger by my cubicle.
