I am 5’6 128lbs and I ordered a 36! It is a bit roomy but I quite like how it fits. Depending on your dimensions I think it comes down to preference- if you want it more fitted or less. I find the belt allows for shape if thats what im looking for​,​ but I tended to wear it open.
