I bought the Tory Burch large romy tote in deep brown and I regret it! I didn’t see any negative reviews so I was influenced to buy it. Needed a mid-large leather bag that would fit my laptop horizontally​,​ magnetic close at top​,​ long straps to go over winter coats comfortably while taking on the subway in NYC… This bag is gorgeous structured not flashy yet really chic but I found that this bag did not fit the bill or price tag. What I found about this bag after testing with all my work items is that it barely fits a 13 inch Mac and the magnet clasp isn’t strong so it doesn’t snap close with the computer in the bag.. that’s a problem when you’re taking the train. ALSO the straps fall off my shoulder like a bra falling off and maybe it’s a new leather thing? But I’m not willing to risk not being able to return it if the outer strap keeps falling off. When I placed my hand under the bag to support some of the weight both straps flew off my shoulder. The inside is very thin which is fine but it makes me want to use a laptop case which I can’t bc it will cause my laptop to not let the magnet close what so ever. Also sitting on the train the little side straps kept hitting my neighbors. I would set the bag sideways to avoid this but since it doesn’t close it doesn’t feel safe. Overall super disappointing because I didn’t see this online at all. Also not to mention at TB The first time I went to check out the bag the SA was rude to me and basically was looking me up and down and even said the suede option “was not a bad for you if you are a messy person”. Now to fit my criteria (and price point under $600) my options are the Cuyana easy tote or oversized double loop satchel. Which have mixed reviews on quality recently.
