I've been on the market for a solid winter coat this whole season. I was debating buying a higher end brand but it was really tough for me to justify shelling out ~$1k for a winter coat. I saw this coat on the Aritzia website and honestly I was a bit skeptical - a $400 coat that can withstand the East Coast winter? Just didn't seem to line up. Nevertheless​,​ I got the coat​,​ and I have to say - it's truly fantastic. I've worn it when it was 15 degrees outside and granted​,​ I do wear layers underneath but the collar and the length really does keep you warm. I'm 5'6ish and the coat is more of a midi length which is great on super windy days. I love the high neck collar because that also retains heat. I've gotten plenty of compliments while wearing this so I'm happy with my purchase​,​ especially given the price point. The only thing I can see as being potentially problematic is that the button loopholes might get loose with time - the lowest button comes undone fairly easily but I woudn't say that's a huge issue. I'll say that if you live in a country where it gets seriously cold like Scandinavia or Canada​,​ maybe you need a better puffer coat but for someone who lives in NYC​,​ this works just fine in the coldest days​,​ especially with layering underneath.
