I feel too formal when wearing classic pumps​,​ so I’ve really been into the slingback trend. I’ve loved Saint Laurent’s Blade slingbacks (they have different styles​,​ but all of them are characterised by a square pointed toe) for a few months​,​ and decided to go for it. I tried on the silver mirrored version and the blue velvet version at my local boutique​,​ which are both 90mm (~3.5 inches)​,​ but I liked the look of a higher heel​,​ so I went with these ones. My Saint Laurent size is probably 35.5​,​ which is weird because I’m a true US 6 (= IT 36). The SA told me to go a half-size because of the pointed toe​,​ so I went with the 36. I’m not sure what a 35.5 would feel like because this is an online-only style​,​ but the 36 doesn’t constrict my toes at all (I don’t have wide feet). The only issue is that the elasticated strap is a little too big. The heels stay on my feet​,​ but I ordered insoles for more security. And yes​,​ at 110mm (~4.3 inches) with no padding​,​ these are certainly not orthopedic shoes. But for what they are​,​ they’re reasonably comfortable and I think they’re sexy.＜abbr＞​,​​,​​,​ ＜​/​abbr＞
