I went to the store and bought this skirt on a total whim. Big caveat - I like to wear my pencil skirts pretty fitted. I looked at the recommended size and for a hip measurement of 39"​,​ I should probably have gotten an 8 but I got the 6 and honestly it's perfectly fine for me. I think this is definitely a case of you should go with what you're comfortable with. The fabric has a tiny bit of stretch but it's surprisingly lightweight. It's very comfortable to wear. I realize in the pic below that I'm wearing with the slit in the back but you can totally wear it with the slit in the front for a more sexy look. I'll have to try that this week!
