My normal shoe size is 7.5 so I sized up here to an 8 which turned out to be a bit too big for me. It might have been better to size down to a 7. The annoying thing about shoes is that it's hard to tell what the fit is like until you walk around in them for at least a little bit. Unfortunately​,​ by the time you realize that the shoe is probably too big (or too small or too uncomfortable)​,​ you can't return them. I'll take them to the cobbler and maybe add toe inserts or something. It's not a big deal​,​ just extra work to walk around in shoes that don't fit super well. They do look pretty fabulous and I love that they keep my feet cool as the weather gets hotter. I was worried that the style would be too casual in the office but I wear them around and I think the heel and shape are still elegant enough that it works. They're also very comfortable so if you can get the right size​,​ I definitely recommend them. I'll add the toe inserts or anti slip gel pads and I should be good to go! I might even get another color. ***UPDATE - it's been a good year since I bought these shoes so I thought an update would be helpful. The shoes have worn out a fair amount. It's quite dirty at the toes and the straw starts to come apart on the sides. HOWEVER​,​ I will caveat that I'm a walker. I walk about 15-20 minutes every day to the office. I think if you don't walk nearly as much as I do or if you even rotate your shoes out with other pairs more often​,​ it probably won't wear down as much. I still recommend it but I would definitely size down as they're pretty uncomfortable to wear at this point since they stretched out a fair amount.
