Background: I was (and currently still) in need of a great spring/fall coat. I absolutely loved this coat but it was hard for me to stomach such a big purchase without trying on at least a number of other styles but this one is still definitely in the running.

FIT: I tried on the US 4 / UK 8 which turned out to be perfect. Roomy enough that I could absolutely wear knits and sweaters below but fitted enough that I still felt very feminine. I love the length – I hadn’t tried a coat that reaches my ankles because I felt that it would be overwhelming on my not-so-tall frame (I’m 5’6) but I actually really loved it.

QUALITY: Excellent quality. It’s clear that it’s well constructed and the fabric is medium weight. I’ve tried on trenches that are just super flimsy and this one was definitely not it.

Style: In all honesty, if I had tried just a few more coats, I might’ve actually bit the bullet on this one. The other problem was that I’m on the hunt for a heavier weight coat (my 12-year-old Mackage finally gave up on me) and it felt wasteful to buy a coat that I didn’t absolutely need, especially at this price point (felt much cheaper in GBP – I think it was closer to 650GBP which, with the conversion, is closer to $800, not $1000). Not gonna lie – I’m definitely going to keep a close eye on this one!,,,
