I love the concept behind this dress – it looks like the perfect spring/summer weekend dress as you chase around your kids. I think this kind of dress looks really flattering on women who are long and lean. When you’re 5’6 and 135lbs, it doesn’t quite have the same effect. I think if the neckline was open, it would’ve been a little bit more flattering but I felt a tad “Amish peasant woman”.

In case it helps, the fabric was very lightweight and incredibly comfortable. The shirring in the bodice provided some give and stretch while giving the top some shape. I thought the dress would be heavy but au contraire, it turned out to be a super airy, comfortable dress.

I would definitely recommend it if it’s your style! It just isn’t mine.,,,
